This is my fourth year teaching at Scholeio. I teach all subjects in Level K! I have degrees in both English and Early Childhood Development and have 20 years of teaching experience. I spent nine years teaching an at-risk Pre-K program in the TN public school system. After moving to middle TN, I nannied for a family full-time while staying home with my youngest children and I became a published children's book author. In 2017 I began homeschooling all four of my children. They are now ages 8, 12, 18, and 20. My oldest two graduated with Scholeio and attending the Tennessee College of Applied Technology.

 

I love teaching because I love being a part of the growth and development of young people and being there for those moments when things start to "click." I am passionate about making learning fun through great literature, play, hands-on activities, and social interaction. I also find great joy in the way young people see the world.
