Hello, I'm Tonya Dodd!

I have been homeschooling for 17 years and have graduated 2, and my twins will be seniors this year. I am so excited to have the privilege of teaching at Scholeio this year. I have grown up here, am married to my high school sweetheart, and am the very proud grandmother of 2 with, hopefully, lots more grandchildren in the future!

I graduated from Belmont with a double major of education and English Literature and then earned my Master's at MTSU In Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught all levels from preschool-college in various roles from public school, Christian school, college, and homeschool tutorials. I've been in leadership in a few different tutorials over the years, but I am genuinely never happier than when in a classroom with my students.

I am a giant history nerd who is always reading. I pride myself on being a lifelong learner and the ability to learn alongside my children has been such a blessing. The Lord called our family to homeschool and nothing pleases me more than leading students into seeing how everything they study ties to His world and plan for their lives.

My goal in the classroom is to always make learning interactive and engaging. I love getting to know my students and holding classroom discussions as we delve into whatever subject we are studying!
